Building the future
Research
At MIC Audio Solutions, we’re pioneering the development of Augmented Hearing Devices, which offer a blend of advanced technological solutions for individuals with hearing impairments and those looking to enhance their natural hearing abilities. We’re researching novel approaches to integrating augmented reality, digital health platforms, and novel hearing aid technologies to create a comprehensive auditory experience, all in a single wearable device.

We’re at the edge of audio technology.
Our efforts include the design and testing of devices that feature innovations such as enabling users to selectively amplify or reduce specific sounds from their environment. We do not merely aim to bridge the gap between traditional hearing aids and modern hearables. We revolutionize the industry by creating an entire new category of hearable device. We set out to create a new era of usability and functionality for hearing devices, not to just give the hard-of-hearing community a device they will love, but also to give anyone a device to control their auditory perception to an extent that is unheard of.
Augmented Hearing Technologies
Exploring advanced algorithms and systems that integrate with wearable devices to enhance natural hearing capabilities, allowing users to filter and focus on specific sound sources in their environment.
Environmental Sound Recognition and Manipulation
Investigating machine learning models to identify, isolate, and manipulate individual sounds within a noisy environment, improving clarity and understanding for the user.
3D Spatial Audio and Virtual Reality
We’re studying the application of 3D spatial audio techniques in conjunction with augmented hearing devices to enhance the immersion and realism of virtual environments for users with hearing impairments.

Digital Audiology
Developing AI-based platform and app functionalities that allow users to conduct hearing tests at home, receive personalized settings, and adjust their devices without the need for in-person audiology appointments.
Advanced Processing
Researching new audio signal processing techniques for real-time noise reduction, feedback cancellation, and sound enhancement to provide clearer and more natural hearing experiences.
Psychoacoustics
Psychological and physiological responses associated with sound play a critical role in the development of hearing devices, to find new ways tailoring experiences to the auditory perception of individuals.

Rapid Prototyping
Fast creation of physical models from digital designs, iterating, testing and refinement of devices, testing custom fits and optimal functionality. Quickly finding and eradicating mistakes by testing out new designs rapidly is a crucial capacity in our efforts.
Understanding Hearing Loss
Understanding the needs of individuals with hearing disabilities involves comprehensively addressing both the challenges they face in daily communication and their desire for devices that seamlessly integrate into their lifestyle.
Stigmatization & Awareness
The stigma associated with hearing loss and the use of hearing aids is a significant barrier to seeking treatment for many individuals, highlighting the importance of hearing health devices on overall well-being and communication capabilites.
